Worker Dies In Fall At Amusement Park

A welder was recently killed in a fall at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, an amusement park in Ocean City. The fatal accident happened on the morning of May 2 on the Boardwalk.
The welder, a 62-year-old man from Pittsgrove, was working on a Ferris wheel when he fell from a lift. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The man worked for Cargo Tech International. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier is cooperating with authorities. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the incident.
Nine workers were killed last year in construction accidents. Falls were the most common causes.
Falls in the Construction Industry
